An extaordanary ultra fun run happens every year at Oakura School. It's a fun day full of awesome activites that will get you up and active. The day is all about raising money for our year seven and eight classes. Every student is put into a team run by two year 7 leaders. There's a cool, funky theme for every team and we are encourging everybody to dress up as there are prizes for best dressed girl, boy and team.This year the fun run is being run on the 5th of December at 12:30. From there on in, you're guaranteed to have a fabulous time working together in your team. There are water activites, running activites, puzzles and many more awesome games.
As we said before, there are a ton of exciting themes for each team. Some include: clowns, pjs, tropical, athletes and fluro. Here are some of the year eights thoughts on the activites they have chosen for the fun run: Kate - drift wood boats "We chose it because it's different. Noone's done it before and kids enjoy making things. Eleanor- Egg obstacle course: "We got the idea from last year and changed it into more of an obstacle course so it will be more competitive and kids will enjoy it more."
We hope that this year absolutely everybody will immensly enjoy the fun run and that it's better than ever before. So come on Oakura school dress up, get wet, have fun. Then at the end of the day you lucky children can have a tasty lemonade iceblock to cool you down and give you a sugar rush after your long fun day in the sun at school.
